In my career as a leader, I have always focused on the success of those individuals on my teams and the clients that we supported. When I decided to change the course of my professional career, I reflected on what meant the most to me as a person and a professional. At the very top of the list was dedication to helping others. This can be as simple as helping a random person that I encounter on any given day, or as complex as helping someone reach their personal goals for success over time. Regardless, to me it means living consistently in this manner every single day. That lead me to take charge of my professional career and start my own business with The Entrepreneur’s Source.
Being a Career Ownership Coach, it is my daily mission to meet, understand and nurture others via education, awareness and discovery, so that they can take the most logical steps forward personally to reach their goals and achieve the lifestyle that is best for them and their family. Each person is unique – thus, each journey and outcome is unique, too. My commitment is to each client’s success, whatever that success might be!
A little bit about me
I was born and raised in Lockport, IL, the youngest of five children. After graduation from Lockport Township High School, I attended the University of Chicago, where I earned my degree in Economics, as well as leading the Chi Upsilon Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) as President and playing Varsity Division Three baseball. Go Maroons!
I have lived in Naperville, IL, since 1995 and married to my wife Jill since 1993. We have one son, Eli, who lives in Gainesville, GA and a handsome Labradoodle, Rider. My passions outside of work include Chicago Sports (Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks), exercise, music, reading, and spending as much time with family and friends as I can! While professional work can be demanding, I truly believe that family and friends are the foundations for all else that we accomplish in life.
Professionally, I have spent 37+ years in the Technology and Healthcare industries, primarily in leadership roles. I began my career at
IBM and to this day use the excellent lessons from their training in my everyday life. After IBM, I was fortunate to spend 13 years with IDX Systems Corporation out of Burlington, VT, where I led regional and national teams in operations and client services. From there, I was able to work with an emerging Healthcare Business Services company named MedSynergies, based out of Irving, TX, where I was Vice-President of Business Development. Finally, for my last 12 years, I was a Partner with Navigant Consulting/Guidehouse, eventually becoming the COO of the Managed Services business. I am so thankful for all the great teammates, mentors, leaders and clients that I have had the pleasure to work with over the years, and each has taught me something and helped to build the person that I am today.
